Glenn Meyers-Head Coach
Coach Meyers is entering his 7th season at the helm for the Harding Knights. Coach Meyers is originally from Blaine; Where he wrestled 5 seasons for the Bengals. Coach Meyers amassed over 100 wins (102-47) at the High School and Junior level and was a 2-Style All-American in Folkstyle (7th Place) and Freestyle (3rd Place), before wrestling 1 season at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota. He then transferred to Augsburg University to play football. While there, Coach Meyers earned his BA in P.E. Prior to coaching at Harding, Coach Meyers spent 2 seasons coaching at Blaine High School (2016-18) as well as 3 seasons coaching the Minnesota Junior Olympic National Freestyle Team (2015-18). During the day, Coach Meyers works at Harding as the Assistant Athletic Director, a role he has been in since 2019. In his free time, Coach Meyers enjoys spending time hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Steve Bebel-Assistant Coach (Strength & Conditioning)
Coach Steve is entering his 4th season with the Knights & serves as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the program. Coach Steve is a 2009 graduate of Harding high school and spent 2 seasons wrestling for the Knights. Coach Steve power-lifted throughout high school & college. Following graduation, Coach Steve played Rugby at St. Cloud State University. Professionally, Coach Steve works for Ziegler CAT as a Backorder Expediting Supervisor. His team brings parts in from all over the glove to fill customer and shop orders. In his free time, Coach Steve enjoys going to Gopher wrestling meets, fishing & range shooting.
Chris Oliva-Assistant Coach (9th Grade)
Coach O is entering his 3rd season with the Knights. Originally hailing from Richfield, MN; Coach O played football, wrestled & ran track in high school. Following high school Coach O played football & basketball for Itasca Community College (where he met Coach Wyatt). Following his time at Itasca, Coach O earned his Bachelors from Augsburg University in Exercise Science while finishing his football career & running 1 more season of Track.
Coach O also serves as the Defensive Line Coach for the Football Team at Harding. This will be his 5th season on the football staff.
In his free time, Coach O enjoys spending time with his Fiance, being outdoors & attending Twins games.
Michael Roberts-Assistant Coach (10th Grade)
Meet Coach Michael Roberts, a seasoned leader with a passion for molding champions both on and off the mat and field.
With a lifelong dedication to the sport of wrestling and football. Coach Michael Roberts brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. From his days as a standout athlete at St. Paul Harding from 05 to 09, where he earned MVP honors for football and wrestling in 2009. He helped lead his team as the captain in 2008 to a Wrestling championship title while getting district-wide recognition & being ranked #2 in the state at the 215 weight class. He ended his 2009 Wrestling season with an undefeated record & qualifying for state two out of the three years he wrestled for Harding. Following graduation, Coach Rob wrestled at Augustana University from 2010 to 2014 in the 285 pound weight class. Coach Rob’s career was tragically cut short his senior season just before Nationals due to a severe ankle break in practice and having to learn to walk again.
Coach Roberts has always exemplified the values of hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. Winning the United States Marine Corps Distinguish Athlete award in 2009. As well as the Dave Winfield Student Athlete Scholarship Award in (09). He also obtained the NSIC Wrestling Championship team award 2010-11. Coah Mike was inducted into Augustana University’s Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2013.
Following his collegiate wrestling journey, Coach Roberts transitioned seamlessly into coaching, going into his fourth year coaching wrestling and football at Harding. Drawing upon his extensive knowledge and firsthand experience to mentor the next generation of grapplers and ballers. His coaching philosophy centers on fostering a culture of discipline, respect, and teamwork, instilling in his athletes the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both on and off the mat and field.
Coach Roberts is known for his unwavering dedication to his athletes’ development, going above and beyond to provide individualized guidance and support. Whether it’s refining technique, building mental toughness, or navigating the college recruitment process, Coach Roberts is committed to helping each wrestler and football players reach their full potential.
Beyond the wrestling room and football field, Coach Roberts is a pillar of the community, known for his integrity, leadership, and commitment to service. He understands the transformative power of athletics in shaping young lives and is dedicated to instilling in his athletes the values of responsibility, perseverance, and respect for others.
Michael Roberts obtained his BA in business Administration/Marketing two classes short of his accounting minor from Augustana University. He is the owner and founder of Roberts Properties LLC, as well as a Real Estate Investor and Consultant with Realty Group LLC, helping the community with any and all housing needs. When he’s not coaching or helping with the housing needs of the community Michael Roberts is a music industry Artist and producer named Mic Rob.
Wyatt Fitterer- Assistant Coach (11th Grade)
Coach Wyatt is entering his 3rd season as a wrestling coach and served as Head Coach for Battle Creek Middle School for 1 of those seasons.
Wyatt is originally from New Richland, MN, where he wrestled and played football from 5th grade to 12th grade. Coach Wyatt amassed 96 wins at the High School level and was a two time state high school entrant and one time state high school finalist for NRHEG High school. Coach Wyatt qualified and participated in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling nationals. He also had an opportunity to travel abroad with DownUnder sports to Australia and New Zealand to compete at the Junior Olympic level, where he brought home gold medal in team duel and silver medal in individuals. Coach Wyatt also traveled and competed on the Minnesota Storm Wrestling Team.
After high school, Coach Wyatt wrestled 1 season at Itasca Community College in Minnesota, qualifying for NJCAA nationals. He started at the Defensive line for 2 seasons with the Itasca Vikings, before transferring to the University of Northwestern St. Paul to finish his football career. There, Coach Wyatt met his wife and earned his Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. During the day, Coach Wyatt works at Allianz Field as the 24/7 Security Account Manager. In his free time, Coach Wyatt enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 dogs, traveling, camping and playing video games.
Brock Eckman- Volunteer Assistant Coach (12th Grade)
Coach Brock is entering his 5th non-consecutive season as an assistant coach. He was Assistant Coach from 2010-2013 and has been able to return matside in a volunteer position as of 2023. Coach Brock was born and raised on the East Side of Saint Paul and graduated from Harding in 2004. He wrestled varsity all four years for the Knights and amassed a record of 107-29 and made his way to the MN State Wrestling Tournament in 2003. Due to a neck injury his senior year, he unfortunately was unable to continue his wrestling career at the collegiate level. He attended St. Cloud State University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Operations. Today, Coach Brock is a Managing Partner of a financial advisor practice. He and his wife (a former Knights wrestling cheerleader) have two daughters, and you’ll find them at every MN Gopher Wrestling home match. When it’s not wrestling season, he enjoys MN Twins baseball, vacationing on the NC coastline, and fishing at the family cabin.
